I hadn't even *heard * of those... We're getting more of the chirpy
ones, even out into the surrounds. Still, I encounter them so
infrequently, I assume they're just some fool's obnoxious cell phone and
wish that fool would quit following me around so I didn't have to hear
his/her stupid phone every time I needed to pay atention to crossing the
street. /lol/
I am also a chronic block mis-counter, so even when I clue in to what
that novel electronic background noise actually is, I lose track of
which street I'm on, exactly, generally at the most inconvenient
intersection... When I'm in familiar territory, this is no big, since
I'm using other contextual clues to know which corner is which... When
I'm traipsing around off the beaten path, though... Talking crorssing
signals that announce the street name would come in real, real handy. /lol/
