Been there twice on both sides of the fence.
Although I've had a couple of counselors who were supportive, but hesitant,
I had two others that were nerfballs and didn't care that I had a goal in
mind upon the fact they wouldn't support me anyway.
Despite that I remained calm, I felt that frustration build up and really
didn't get anywhere.
Thankfully with Richele, she's honestly told me that I seem better off with
continuing to work with a guide dog, not because the dog helps me with that
confidence level, but moreover, I feel more independence when traveling and
my motivation level has gone up and beyond.
No, the dog doesn't make me talk to people more because of his attraction.
If I chose to speak with individuals directly, then cool beans.
If not, I don't feel any different from it.
I not only like to have a guide dog for mobility, but also enjoy the
partnership and especially enjoying that moment of flying free like an
eagle.
I enjoy lightly rough housing with Odie and hearing him get all playful
which I find as a great stress reliever.
