Dave,

Sorry. Been there, done that. Twice. As my partner observed as we were
walking to the car from the last meeting with the CAP attorney and the
VR Director in addition to my VRC, "That attorney does a great job of
representing her client, the agency, doesn't she?"

If CAP will not take my documentation and records pertinent to the facts
of my case in order to ascertain my veracity over the VR Director's,
then CAP is not working for me, is it?

Let's review how that system works: The Commission for the Blind is a
state agency. The Client Assistance Project is a state agency. I am a
blind consumer who wants one state agency to use state money for me, a
blind person.

Should I have been surprised that the state agency paid by the state to
ensure that I receive money from the state would be so blatant about
whose interests they are really serving? Should I have expected the one
state agency to stand up for me against the state agency that was not
giving me state resources?

Conflict of interest, much?

I dunno. Maybe that system works in other states. I have been completely
unsurprised to discover in my information gathering that others have
made the same observations about how it works here. The state agencies
serve the interests of the state.

So I've tried the next step up the ladder, and the next and... Nada. SOrry.

Tami
