That is a type of Spaniel. Great dogs, a little hyperactive when younger,
but wonderful pups!

Marilyn,
My parent's dogs are sweet and they have gone through obedience class.
The Brittany actually used to be my dog, so I trained her. However, my
parents rules concerning the dogs in the house are pretty laid back.
It's their house and their rules. I totally respect that.
Yes, maybe my guide and their dogs would get along well. Perhaps
someday I will take him. I don't know. At this time my parents do not
wish to have more dogs in their home. It's nothing against me or my
dog. It's just their home and their wishes.
Similarly I do not take my guide dog into people's personal vehicles or
homes without being specifically invited. That's their private space.
I wouldn't smoke cigarettes there or spray a bunch of perfume or
rearrange their furniture. To me it's simply honoring their space. I
am fine with people bringing their dog into my home as long as I know
beforehand and the dog gets along well with others. Others may not care
at all, that's their choice in their home.
This is just the way I do things. I realize it's different from the way
many others manage things. That's okay.
