[nagdu] Seeing Eye Class Length Shortened

I would be curious to hear when other schools have their check-in day, issue
day, and exit day depending on whether one is a graduate or first time
student.

I am a Leader Dog grad as most of you know, and things have even changed a
bit from when I went this last time which was already 3.5 years ago.
Check-in day is still Sunday, but to the best of my knowledge, the issue day
was moved up one day from Wednesday to Tuesday. As Graduate students, we
would spend a total of 19 days, but in some cases, could be excused early if
all objectives were met. Maybe there is another LD grad on this list who
has gone back since I was last there who could also share. Will this play
into what organizations prospective students will choose to attend...your
guess is as good as mine.

Steve

Oh, I think cost-cutting could be one of the reasons, but, students or I
should say, many students want shorter class times. I'm not sure why they
chose Monday; am not sure why they chose to not have students show up on
saturday. I think there could be a bunch of reasons. Maybe staff want the
weekend off between classes.

I'm going to write to Dave Johnson and see if I can find out.
