Service dog attacked; Owner needs help with needed surgery

SALT LAKE CITY (ABC 4 News) - A fantastic update for you now on a story we
first brought you last night.

 

A guide dog attacked by pit bulls will get the surgery she needs. Buffy
helps Zoren Maunaga get around. He's a refuge from Bosnia who has a fake eye
and is partially blind. 

 

But last week Buffy was viciously attacked by two pit bulls. She needs
surgery to fix her hip and Maunaga can't afford it.

 

ABC 4 viewers have stepped forward in droves to help out the pair.

 

Zoren Maunaga, Buffy's owner said, "I am so happy that she will have surgery
and be a normal dog. I say for Channel 4 news thank you, thank you so much."

 

Buffy is scheduled to have surgery on Tuesday. 

 

In fact the veterinarian at Advanced Veterinary Care is now doing the
surgery pro-bono. The money donated by you will go to help Maunaga go see
his family. He had to cancel an all expenses paid trip after Buffy got
attacked.
