I'm curious about this too.
Guys, any stories?

There you have it. Too cute to be blind! /lol/ I wonder if the guys ever
get that?

Speak up men! Are any of you too good-looking to be blind? Inquiring
minds want to know!

I wonder if there's a gender difference in the part where "you don't
need any help." Are blind (or other disabled) women penalized for lack
of proper helplessness than men? Then again, it probably works both ways
when cultural gender stereotypes about gender are piled on top of those
about blindness. I just have an easier time recognizing those that apply
to females because, well, I am one. Also, honestly! I had enough of that
kinda nonsense when I was a sweet young thing starting out my career
when we all knew that as women, we just had to deal with it. So you pays
your dues, work your hiney plumb off, see the workplace change as you
progress... Then you go blind, and suddenly your getting the same old
gender discrimination again? Honestly! Give me a break! Still, human
nature being what it is, there are probably flavors of similar stuff
that the men get as blind persons that a woman wouldn't be as likely to
recognize or gasp. Anyway, something to be c curious about.

Well, stay cute and and failing to need help. /lol/

Tami
