Hi, all,
I've had a few list members ask me if Odie is part wolf.
Truth is that he isn't.
He's a hybrid German black lab.
No, Pilot Dogs doesn't use part wolves for guide dog work.
I came up with the labra wolf nick name for Odie because he eats like an 
actual wolf at times.
Back when he would have dental treats on occasions, I'd hear him snap his 
dental bones in half just like a wolf would.
Odie would tear those dental bones up by breaking them into two pieces.
So, I came up with the idea of calling him labra wolf.
Yes, it's true that some dog breeds do have some wolf mixed with in them, 
half or quarter mix.
