And it would prove exactly what?

Let's say someone comes in with a guide dog from (pick your favorite school). Let's further suppose that Rox'e or Julie or Tami or Marti comes in right after with her (in all cases, coincidentally) owner-trained guide/service dog. Let's suppose that in both cases both guide dog owners are asked for an ID proving that the dog is a service dog. So, the guy from whatever school shows his school-issued ID. What does the owner/trainer show? Should owner/trainers be expected to carry a notebook with his/her training logs in it? An ID made up on a laser printer and laminated? How would this ID be distinguished from one that anyone else could make up for Fluffy the three pound chihuahua (putting aside the fact that chihuahuas aren't very fluffy)?

All of that is moot, however, since the law specifically states that an ID cannot be required.
