Megan, I would have to agree. We don't know any of the circumstances, or not enough to make judgments like that. Yet we are ready to judge this whole situation. Yes, perhaps schools should be contacted, but not because of fault of the handler. As I've said several times before though, I've been a victim of this kind of assumptions and it is hurtful and frustrating. I would like to think that we could save o ur judgments until we know the facts if that happy day comes. Most handlers would feel badly if this happened; first I think I would try to talk to the person whose dog it was and see what the two of us can learn from the situation. Then maybe I would call my school for help; maybe that handler should, too, but what's with black listing and all this talk. I'm sorry it happened, but we ought to save harsh until we know more.
