Hi all,
Flying back to California with Princess was easy; she did a fantastic job,
and you would have thought she's done that all her life *smile*.
Since we got back, Princess hasn't been eating much and I believe it's due
to all the changes - time difference, new environment, etc. I gave her a
couple of saltine crackers because my trainer asked me not to feed her the
night prior to coming home, but she threw up on Friday night when we got
back. I went to Petco on Saturday to get her milk bone treats and gave her a
couple on that day because we had been super busy and she did well despite
all the changes. However, on Saturday night she started having very soft
stool and by yesterday, she was having diarrhea. I took her to the vet this
morning because I got very worried.
The vet said everything's ok, and that I should put her on white rice and
boiled chicken mixed with low-fat cottage cheese for a few days because it
will help her stool go back to normal. I feel a little hesitant about this
because my trainers mentioned again and again that we shouldn't feed them
anything besides the food they are used to having. What do you all think?
Should I go ahead and give her rice with boiled chicken and cottage cheese
or should I keep her on science diet (which is the food they have been
eating)? I would love to hear feedback!
Cheers, Hannah
