Well, I really don't care, but I think my best dogs have been males. I did have one who wasn't so very great, b ut the fella was a sweet thing, just a little lazy. He would rather hang out in the back of my closet. If I get another dog, and I'm not sure that I will, I won't have a preference. Both of my GSDs were females; I wonder if I would have gotten along better with male shepherds. Who knows?

I think all dogs tend to mark some. The thing I don't get is that all of mine took to squatting instead of peeing on things. I'm pretty sure, though, this hasn't much to do with using a dog. LOL.
