[nagdu] Monthly Meeting of the Travel and Tourism Division January 10, 2012 with our special Guest Matt Slosky, CEO of Socialflights.com

Everybody:

Please don't argue with the Moderator. It is her call to make, and I
agree with her. The Travel Division messages are only marginally on
topic. This is a relatively high traffic list and there needs to be
some order or things can get out of hand. Then people start falling
away and you defeat the purpose of having the list in the first place.

If you try hard enough you can relate anything to anything -- but
that isn't the point. Of course the point of dog guides is travel,
however, it seems to me that one of the primary purposes of the
travel division was a place for blind travel professionals. I think
that is good, and important, and it sometimes may involve dogs, but
not all the time.

These discussions of what is on topic, and what isn't always seem to
generate a lot of traffic. Most of our moderators allow a good deal
of leeway. There are grey areas, and lists develop their own style
and a sense of community. However, there also needs to be some order
and guidance from time to time. Please accept this and move on, and
don't feel compelled to argue in public.
