FYI, David Andrews, no the Travel Division is not for those who are travel professionals, it is for advocacy in travel, to learn about different ways in travel for the blind, and for those like guide dogs who do travel, in the past and in the future, I have and I will be giving up to date information to the webmaster of NAGDU about accessibility on airplans, cruise ships, traveling to different parts of the world, not advocacy rights in those countries for guide dogs as well.
There are very few of us who are travel agents or professionals who are blind, and in our division there are only 3 officers who are, but to discuss what you say Travel Professionals, no that is not what the division is for.
Maybe some of you may want to listen in on some of our board meetings.
We have discuss the recent issues with the airlines, in fact, I was the one who found out that, Cornell.edu, which was having that website to give information about the airlines was not accessible and they contacted the NFB in Baltimore, and had there website made accessible.
As well as working very closely with the cruise lines over the years for all of us.
So, no it is not just for travel professionals.
Have a good day :)
