[nagdu] News broadcast, a boy and his guide dog

I expect you're right, Nicole. I strongly suspect that parents of blind
children are trained to trust the "experts" and defer to them.
Luckily, some of them break free and find our POBC division.

I grew up with dogs. I taught them basic obedience. They were family
pets, but feeding and grooming generally became my job. No "experts"
required. No "special training" required. Imagine, a blind kid doing
ordinary things in an ordinary way! Amazing! Pfui.
My father once told me that, when my parents learned their children would
be blind, they consulted some "experts", who pretty much said to put us in
a room, remove any sharp objects, and get rid of the dog. My parents
recognized that for the foolishness it was, thank Goodness.
