This woman's poodle guide dog was the first time I ever touched a poodle and 
I was amazed at how soft the hair was.  I heard that a poodle has hair - not 
fur!  It continues to grow and has no furry undercoat. I've seen the crazy 
haircuts they give the show poodles on the dog shows on TV.  Your poodle 
most likely has what is called a puppy clip - very simple and easy to care 
for.  It is short all over except for the topknot, ears and end of tail.
