Hi, I've never worked a female before so I donn't have anything to compare it with.my husband feels that a male dog takes you more directly to different points where a female looks around more maybe a little more inquisitive. I think it has more to do with the breed of dog.Tres can get rather goofy if I let him and he ais a golden. Sheila Leigland
