I have found that my males tended to bond a little faster, though I had one who didn't work out. I have found them easier than females. My advice, if you would like it, is just to go there with an open mind and be prepared to love your dog. I didn't think I wanted a male when I got my first one; after a few minutes with him, I was thrilled. Cindy
