Thanks Danielle, that helps clarify things a bit.  So, it isn't necessarily
whether a dog licks you, but the fact that dogs groom themselves so many
times.  Although, I have yet to see a dog lick his head or back/grin!

Hi everyone,
Poodles are only considered "hypoalergenic" because of their lack of
shedding, not because they produce less dander. Also, some dogs lick their
furr a lot so you could come into their saliva that way. I think its a
certain protein in the saliva that causes the alergic reaction.
Anyway, just my thoughts.
