Debbie, You need to do what is best for you and your family. This of course
includes your precious dog.
Everyone will have an opinion for you, but in the end, it is you who have to
live with your decisions. I was greatly criticized when I, with the support
of my family took a job in Colorado and left my high school Daughter in
Texas with my husband so she could complete her junior and senior year at
her high school and my husband could finish the years he had left in Texas
to be able to retire.
The decision was not easy, but we did what we thought was best.
It would be great if you could work something out with your employer about
taking her out during your breaks.
But if not, you need to do what works for you and your family, I cannot
stress this enough. If you need to talk, please feel free to contact me off
list.

Subject: [nagdu] New job, Cagney can't be with me

I left the pre-school for this new job as a switchboard operator at the VA
Hospital here in Kansas City.
My boss told me
That Cagney could not be with me cause I will be alone on the 2 to 10 shift
and could not leave the room to take her out . I plan to leave her with my
husband while I am at work he is also disabled and walks around On crutches
but he loves her as much as me. Does this make me a bad person, I want her
with me but I cannot leave the room in case I have to handle a maintance
problem or call a code blue or red and I am the only one there. There is a
bathroom with a phone on it,I've box, coffee pot and a little tv for the down
times. The pay is good and I just want to take care of my hubby and Cagney.
I don't see how I can get around this , what do you all think? Debbie
