Chantelle, I remember being your general technology tutor during the
Outreach Program! I am so glad you are progressing great in life, and now
with a guide dog of yours...bravo! And I remember we would ocasionally chat
in French as well.
To all, I was introducing myself-I just got on this list few days ago. my
name Yegue, is pronounced like yeggay; I and my wife are currently in Mass,
but we'll be moving to southern CA in the fall. I am also warming up fast on

the idea of going for a guide dog since I am quite good with my cane, and
need some extra mobility tool for fast travel+ etc, and these magical guide
dogs do it well-from some of my observation. So I was asking if anyone on
here went to a school in southern CA? I have my finger of Guide Dogs of
America-they say on their website that, they accept 10 students compared to
some bigger number? I am also trying to gather information about cost of
food, and vet visit/shots, etc you guys have like per year or something. Any

hint? Also, I seem to want to go for either a Golden Retreaver, or more, a
Lab/golden cross. Anyone has one? What's your experience with the cross
verses pure?
Thanks...many of you seem to have skipt over my innitial intro though, hope
to meet more this time..since I told you more about me. -Yegue

Debbie,

Well, under the circumstances, leaving the dog does make sense, since
you want the job and believe it is a good move for you enough to make
the choice. Only you can decide, and you are not a bad person for making
the best choice you can to meet your needs.

There was a time, not so very long ago, I would have had a wiggins over
the labor practices involved for you, too, but... These days, I know too
many people in similar working situations, so I just sigh. /smile/ And,
again, it is up to you to know what you want and need and whether to
take a better opportunity. /smile/

I suppose the more experienced and knowledgeable will have some
interesting thigns to say, so I will get on with reading so I will know
more when/if I run into similar choices.

Best!

Tami

Cindy
Due to the severity of my injures suferedd in a dog distraction fall
as i was bent over unlocking the car door and Leone spotted my
neighbor and her poodle and pulled. My safety is top priority. She's
off at training and they are looking seriously at getting ehr back to
me as soon as she gets her issue fixed. I call it Summer school to
get a few more credits.
