[nagdu] Political Correctness ?? and rudness

I would just say I'm Marty.  Legaally blind is good.  I think however you 
refer to yourself is strictly your buisness.  It would sure be a mouthful to 
say you are visually and hearing impaired wheelchair user!  In my oppinion, 
that's too much information!  Unfortunately, the petting the dog thing 
requires some assertiveness sometimes.  I have many creative ways to address 
it depending on the situation from really nice to really rude!  I oncre told 
a persistant woman that she could indeed pet my dog if she were willing to 
pet me as well!  Why she got offended I have no idea but she changed her 
mind about petting Holly!  I've also been known to reply that the dog won't 
bite but I will!  I think this politically correct stuff trickles down into 
personal life where it really doesn't belong anyway.  Its up to us to decide 
what we like best and most of us like our names better than the conditions 
we have.
