(CNN) – We’ve all heard of guide dog helping a blind person get around, but what happens when you have a blind dog? Two year-old Golden Retriever, “Tanner”, was born blind. When his owner died, he was brought to a shelter.

The vets considered putting him down, but that’s when “Tanner” made a new friend, a stray at the shelter named “Blair” and she’s decided to become “Tanner’s” guide.

“Blair” now leads “Tanner” around by his leash and the two have become inseparable.

The shelter plans on adopting the two dogs out together.
