Another busy week has unfolded again.
Tuesday, dale and I along with Odie went over to Natalie and Liam's house to help measure her duffle bag in the hopes it will fit safely inside the overhead bin directly.
After that, the three of us came back home and just rested up.
Later around 8:00 PM, I took Odie out for a much needed grooming session again.
He had so much loose hair on his back legs, it took me a while to brush him: thirty minutes at least.
Still, Odie appreciated it and to him, he enjoyed being brushed like it was a massage.
My friend, Dolly watched me groom Odie and said to Regina another resident how Odie was very patient and well-behaved during the brushing.
I had to empy the slicker brush several times, including the rake.
Dolly helped me clean up the hair and she threw it out in the doggy trash can.
After I was done, she commented on how Odie looked really good and shiny.
Wednesday morning, Odie and I ended up extremely early which we normally don't do.
Both of us dragged ourselves down to the bus stop near the fire department to catch the route38 bus to go out to the Applewood Village shopping center to the Wheatridge Wal-Mart for some snack shopping.
We came back home around 9:30 AM and Odie was relieved as much as I was.
We ended up doing the trip early due to possible severe weather in the afternoon/evening along with finding out at the last minute that President Obama was going to make an appearance for a fund raising dinner here in downtown Denver at the Colorado Convention Center.
I didn't want to get caught up in the loop of tight security, so figured getting things done first thing in the morning was worth it, despite Odie and I not being early morning birds.
Unfortunately this morning, I ended up having three more seizures which were caused by the fire alarm in the building.
Dale had planned on going to the grocery store and canceled that plan as he wanted to be near me.
Odie slept through all the false fire alarms but it didn't matter as my husband was already aware of what was happening.
The alarm went off for almost thirty minutes and the fire department came to turn it off.
That's when the first small seizure happened during the incident.
I went back to sleep for a short time and was woken up by the alarm again and during the second small seizure, my tongue suffered being bit a couple of times and that wasn't pleasant.
By the third time while I made my relief for a quick restroom trip, the dang alarm went off again and luckily, I made it back to the bedroom before a third seizure occured.
I can say that if the fire alarm were to continue going off, then I would have endured a trip in an ambulance to denver Health Medical upon the emergency room with Dale and Odie with me all the way.
Am glad that didn't happen as I didn't want another ambulance ride or see the emergency room before going out of town.
Thankfully, the alarm finally quit going off.
Dale and I were really annoyed and tired of it all.
I guarentee that if Dale were asleep and I was out in the kitchen or bathroom, Odie would have alerted him immediately of me being in a dangerous spot.
Because all three seizures zapped my energy, I wasn'able to get started on doing some packing for the trip to Reno.
Hopefully after I get a much needed relaxing bath and shower, I can do some of that.
I hope for a better day tomorrow and enjoyable fun ones this weekend.
Dale, Odie and I will head out to another graduation which this time, it's my brother-in-law graduating from school.
After that, we'll head over to my father-in-law's for a barbicue and celebration party of the graduation.
After that, I run back home or see if my father-in-law wouldn't mind running me down to Natalie's to pick her and liam up so they can stay at my place for a couple of nights.
If he's unable to do that, then i'll let Natalie know to go ahead and take the bus to my place and I would meet her outtside.
Saturday, Nat and I head off for the bowling league banquet to meet up with friends, enjoy food and see what kind of prizes we'll end up with, at least one prize.
Sunday is the big day for us which that's when all four of us: Nat, Liam, Odie and I leave on the train to travel to Reno and then return Sunday evening on June 3, 2012.
Therefore, I probably won't be checking any emails and nor will I try to set myself on nomail for all the lists i'm on.
Regardless, no problem and I'll get caught up.
Well, I'll close out and finish for now to go do other things and then crawl back under my rock.
When I have come back and had a few days to recover, I'll post about the trip to Reno, Nevada upon the bowling and the experience.
