Do you plan to work the dog as you would under blindfold all the time?  
Because I think if you are expecting different things from day to day 
it's going to confuse him and possibly cause stress.  I also don't think 
it's fair of you to not expect him to do a full stop at curbs sometimes 
and then not others.You are correcting the dog for your mistakes.
