[nagdu] retirement

Tracy,
Princess is really curious and it gets in the way of her work. I'm not sure
that she's meant to be a guide dog in the first place because it is
difficult for her to focus and that is why I walk in to objects. Also, I've
become very attached to her and I don't really want to give her up.

Hi Hannah.
Is there some reason, other than attachment, that you don't want to send
Princess back to Pilot to see if she could be retrained to work with someone
else?
Do you think she's too disinterested in the job to work for anyone? I
didn't really get that impression from your first message.
I've never had it happen, so far, but I imagine that if I had to retire a
young dog because he couldn't work in my particular environment, and the
school thought he'd be fine somewhere less hectic, I'd send him back. I
think some of my classmates at TSE did this, regardless of ownership.
Though I might feel very differently if the school in question was not
returning my calls.
