Marion, if the message is informative, I have no issue with getting more
messages. However, if I get a lot of simple messages, I tend to quit the
thread. Sometimes that causes me issues because a thread is sometimes fluff
with something good inside. And, if I start deleting sometimes i
accidentally delete the thing I might have been interested in.

Subject: [nagdu] Five Post Limit
> Dear All,
> The NAGDU board of directors would also like your input on the new five
> post limit. We would also be open to entertaining other measures that
> would help make the list more enjoyable to all subscribers. As I
> mentioned, the purpose of the five message limit is to encourage
> subscribers to consider the added value their proposed message provides to
> the discussion. With nearly 300 subscribers, we need to do something to
> control the traffic, similar to placing speed limits on roads. If one
> wishes to use their five messages to post something that does not add
> value and substance to the discussion, opting to spend their messages
> frivolously, that would be their choice. Like all other list rules, the
> purpose is not to inhibit discussion but to provide an enjoyable, valuable
> experience to all subscribers and to respect their time. Comments are
> respectfully appreciated.
