[nagdu] Dogs and instructors

Jus for the record...
I'm from the same school as Sarah.
My dog Leone  is also on leash at home and on tie down in the home and
supposedly for a year.  We hve a problem.  At the school it was
different.  She came to me when i held the leash in hand.  At home she
never comes to me when i call her name to leash up.  Tie down
constantly is to teach her who's boss.  So far she still doesn't come
to me.  In the beginning  I told our trainer she comes to me when i
ahve a treat or a raw almond in hand.  I was told then give her the
treat.  So I did.  But it encouraged her "I will only do things for
Debbie if she gives me a treat"  This is wrong.  I made a mistake of
starting this habit with her.  It's dam hard to break.
So tie down it is.  there are no treats  for her now.  Main goal is to
break that habit and get her to come to me.  She actually runs around
the furniture to avoid me.
I'm working on it but i WON'T play her game.
