[nagdu] Note from Moderator was Staff cuts at guide dog schools

GDB as well as the Seeing eye sent letters to all of their graduates
explaining why such cut backs were necessary. There are no cover ups here.
Now choosing not to except what the schools have chosen to do with respect
to cut backs and such is a personal opinion of graduates from either school.
Now, from what I know and understand with respect to GDB, graduates still
have a field rep, as well as still receive yearly vet stipends and heartworm
prevenitive medication all at the school's expense. As far as Seeing Eye
graduates, the charge of $150 for the first dog and $50 for each successor
dog is still in place. As well as 3 months of heartworm, and flea
medication, along with 1 year subscriptions to IAADP and home alone micro
chip tracking. And Seeing Eye graduates also are provided after care once
we return home. So, what have we as graduates of either school really lost
with all of these cut backs?

I understand bashing to be things like "Seeing Eye puts out miserable dogs"
With nothing to explain such a statement.
Facts are what they are. Experiences are what they are.
What is wrong with Diane's concern? She has every right to know how and why
money is being spent in a nonprofit institution. We all do.

It would be interesting to know what schools are getting cut though. How can
you keep the school name out of it when searching for a schools it might be
something to keep in mind. I do aggree with not bashing however.
