[nagdu] An Introduction

HI and welcome to the list! It feels good to be writing and not asking a question for once. :) I've enjoyed my time on this list and find it helpful. A little about me? I was paired with my first guide Sophie, a golden lab cross from Leader Dogs for the Blind in Michigan. We were paired this summer and she is a sneaky little girl sometimes. I think her favorite activities besides working are scavenging and sniffing. I've tried ideas of solutions from people on this list which have made it better. It's unfortunately still somewhat out of control and I'm having a field rep come out to help with this issue. Other than that, she's a great worker which is what I need since I too am a college student. I go to school in Illinois though. So anyway, that's a little aabout Sophie girl and I. Welcome and enjoy!
Alyssa and a currently bored under a desk Sophie

You may want to get in touch with the Department of Housing and Urban Development or the Housing Authority in the jurisdiction where your fianc?e resides for a more authoritative answer.
> This being said, it is my understanding that the forms of discrimination prohibited under the FHA are similar to those under the ADA. One of these forms of discriminationis known as discrimination by association. This refers to the discrimination that occurs because of one's association with a disabled person. For instance, if I go to a restaurant with a group of friends and am denied access because of my guide dog and, as the result, my friends are denied access because of their association with me, all those in my party would be able to file a complaint they were discriminated against because of their association with me, even if they are not disabled and were not directly denied access.
