Aleeha, what a good boy dallas is.  I am so glad that he saved you from a big fall.  I too wish that I had had Hailey who is my first dog sooner than I did.  In 2000 I was living in colorado and going to the CCB.  One day I was coming home from a therapy appointment and it was raining.  I was a fairly good cane user at the time and I also have some usable vision.  Well the bus had left me off at the wrong stop and I didn’t know where I was.  Well, I assumed that what I saw a few feet away from me was a wet sidewalk.  I walked to it and didn’t understand what my cane was feeling.  The supposed sidewalk was actually a small creek that I wound up walking into.  Boy let me tell you, I was sure upset with myself for not paying more attention to what my cane was or wasn’t feeling.  Hailey would have never allowed me to walk into that creek.
