Jessica,
	On a number of occasions, we have discussed on this list the
problems that arise when giving advance notice that one will be accompanied
by a guide dog. This is a perfect example of why it is not advisable to do
so. No public entity, private entity providing public acommodations, or
airline can may offer a service, aid, accommodation, or benefit that is
discriminatory in nature. By giving advance notice, it gives the impression
that something special needs to happen as the result of the presence of the
service dog. As a result, those with whom we share this information make
things up because they don't know what else to do.

	I think you need to get in touch with the airline and talk to
someone about the way in which you were treated. If you need our assistance,

hello All,
I have a question. It might be a stupid thing to get frustrated about but it
bothered me. Can I called US Air this morning to confirm my seats and let
them know I have a dog. I never fly them because I love Delta but they had a
nonstop to FL for about 100 dollars less. Delta also wanted me to change in
Atlanta. No thanks smiles. The lady put me on hold forever and then came
back and told me she can move me but my husband has to sit where he is
because the plane is full. When I asked why we couldn't sit together she
said that the seat next to where they are moving me is full and was not very
nice about it. I might have been ok with us sitting across the isle or
something but he was on one end of the plane and me another. I can't help
that I have a dog and wanted a bit more room haha. Let me know what you guys
think. Flying is becoming way to complicated.
