[nagdu] Purchasing a Toileting Harness

Hi, Darla.
I use the bag to catch poop. The trainer who helped me introduce it is from
Guide Dogs Victoria (Australia), and mentioned that in Japan they use the
harness for people who live in high rises.

The bags have the handles on the sides, with expandable side panels. The bag
makes me think of a woman's tank top, where the shoulder portion represents
the handles, and the portions that go along the left and right sides of the
torso are folded in; the bottom of the tank top is sewn up.

HTH,
Dani

Thanks, Donni; are these meant to hold both feces and urine? I know the
Japanese bags have a gel in them to absorb the liquids; those sound nice,
too, but don't know if those can be ordered.

Hi, Darla.
They're called T bags, and come on a little tab thing that you can hang on a
hook. You can pull each as you need it. I'll look at the box I have to see
what the size is. I got the bags through my vet. The size of bag would d
epend on the size of dog you have. It needs to be big enough to stretch
between the relieving belt and the dog's tail, since it hooks on to the
hooks under the dog's tummy when the belt is on, then the tail goes through
the other handle and over the buttons on the top of the relieving belt.
There needs to be enough play so the bag fits comfortably, but not so much
that it swings too freely.

HTH,
Dani

Dear Dani,

What kind of bags fit on the toileting harness you lost? Are they
easy to find?[
Welcome to the list; there is a wealth of knowledge here, and I
have found members to be most helpful and resourceful when I have needed it.

Hi, Everyone.

I'm Dani, and I'm new to the list. Where can I purchase a toileting harness?
I dropped mine outside my apartment while taking my girl Peggy out late
Monday night, and didn't realize it was missing till yesterday. My husband
and I went looking for it, but I think it's gone. I can pick up fine with a
regular bag, but the toileting harness is a really handy thing, and I've got
a bazillion pick-up bags that'll sit around without the harness. (The
pick-up bags are a little tight for two-handed pick-up.)

Thanks,

Dani
