Great point Peter! When in doubt I try to find out if there are quieter
places in case Holly gets to stressed but, I usually don't need them. The
best advice is, know your dog and yourself. If loud places don't bother
you, they may not bother your dog iether! Not always true but I have had
very few issues so far. Holly goes to wrestling matches, powwows, concerts
and fireworks sisplays! Sometimes the first noises get her but after a few
minutes she adjusts well. In fact, a few months after I came back from
Pilot, I had occassion to go to a fireworks display. Holly was spooked by
the first few but then, she put her front paws on the wall and watched them.
Even when I was in school with holly and fireworks or thunder was going on,
I would stand under the awning and see how Holly reacted. The noise would
first startle her but then, she would adjust after a couple of minutes.
