[nagdu] airport training

Juanita,

I'm with you! Putting the dog in a sit or down stay seems it would be
much more convenient, but I don't like the idea of giving up control of
the dog, even for that short a time. Especially in a busy airport at the
security check!

One notion someone here mentioned quite awhile ago that I want to use
next time I fly is to have a slip on leash/collar with no metal in it,
to avoid having the dog set off the detector. It seems like that would
remove possible complications and save some time with having the dog
wanded. Or having a security agent consider doing a cavity check of the
dog, as happened to us once. It did not happen, but the very idea! It
might be said I have never been so shocked in my life! /lol/

Therefore, she goes through security right before me as I hold onto her leash. With all the hustle and bustle going on at the airport, one never knows what can happen. I'd rather be safe than sorry. But of course, everyone has their preferences, And different things work for different people.
