Hi everyone.  It was 18 years ago today that I got my first guide dog.  She was a small black lab named Abra.  She was from Geb.  What a great 7 years it was and she was a great first dog for me!  Abra got me through my college years where we'd had plenty of adventures and challenges.  She also flew to Arkansas with me for 30 days at LWSB.  When I got my job at Overbrook, she flew to Philadelphia with me and we spent 2 years together and she adjusted well from a country/small town girl to a city girl.  She retired at 8 and a half as things began to scare her plus she was having hip problems.  She retired with my mother and enjoyed 5 years of retirement.  She passed at age 13 and a half.  I enjoyed having Abra as she worked her magic every day.
