The Seeing Eye has NO requirement for any reports to them regarding the
dog's health. They expect that you bring the dog to a vet for regular
checkups and shots and that most will see that the dog is in a healthy
weight range. they treat us like the adults that we are - that's one of the
reasons i will not go to other schools where they micro-manage their
graduates like they were little kids and irresponsible.
What TSE likes to hear about is if our dogs develope a disease that is
hereditary, they want to know so they can tell the breeding department to
look for the problem in the dogs in the school's colony and breeders. By
doing this, TSE has eliminated virtually all hip dysplasia from their
breeding stock and thus our guides.
