Hi, all,
Since we've been having lots of severe weather all over, I thought I'd share some helpful advice which has helped Odie and I that may help others.
Then, others may have a way of doing things that work for them and their four-legged furry partners.
If you hear severe weather mentionted and have an idea that your dog isn't going to feel comfrotable, have them on leash with you at all times until storm is gone.
If any outdoor sirens go off in your area, immediately, get you and dog to safety.
If a closet or hard table is the only place for shelter, make sure to have plenty of blankets or pillows to cover you and your dog.
Lie close to your dog so if anything hard should fall, it won't hurt him her.
Got this from the milehigh Red cross and also remember this from various dog trainers I've come in contact with at many events Odie and I have attended over the years.
Biggest part is definitely, pay, close, attention to your dog's behavior and even if you can't visually see what is going on, touch their whole body from head, ears and all the way down.
Although this type of method works for Odie and I, I'm sure others have methods they've established.
Hope this helps all.
Sincerely:
Bibi and son Odie
