Hi, my first dog drake a big black lab had to wear a cone for about two weeks after surgery and hated every minute of it. I felt so sorry for him and he would come up to me and try to get me to remove it but if we tried he would rub his face on the carpet and I didn't want him to mess up his stitches. 

I didn't try to work him poor guy was like a bull in a china closet.Sheila Leigland
