Hi Julie,
You are not over reacting to a broken nail. Its very painful for the dogs.
It happened to my last dog Parker when we were on the bus. the bus stopped
short and my dog put her paws out to stop from sliding and split her nail to
the quick. It cost me 300 dollars and everyone said I should have had the
bus company pay the bill. It was the driver who noticed when he dropped me
off at GDF that she was limping and when we got on she was fine the driver
said. Glad your husband is able to stay home with Monty
Marilyn and Anna
