[nagdu] Barking Puppies!

Ugh, yes. The dogs always behave when they see the trainers or go back for
evaluation. One time, I was having slight problems with Lexia, but, as soon
as the field rep came to see me, she behaved.

Lexia is the same way with the gentle leader. As I said in one of my other
messages, she just won't budge when I put it on her. I have not tried in
years because she does not need it. I did not ever intentionally do
anything to hurt her the one time that we were required to use it in class,
but something must have happened. Many of the other dogs who I know who wear
one hate it and try to rub it off every chance that they get. You might
consider trying a haulty instead.

Thank you all.

Cindy, GL I can get her to work, but I feel that she is stressed, to the
point that the GL is an actual distraction.

Tommy, I will try some of those. In harness it definitely isn't very bad
anymore.

No, leader did not give me a reason other than they want to see it in action
there. Unfortunately she made a liar out of me-she didn't bark at all! Even
in the Kennels!

I actually changed the text tone on my phone to the doorbell sound thinking
maybe if she heard it more often, it would curb her response.
Now it's unpredictable. Sometimes she'll bark, sometimes it will be a belly
bark, sometimes she'll stare at the phone with her ears pricked, and others
she will ignore it completely.
I've gotten it to where if she does full or belly bark, I tell her "quiet"
and she's good, which is an improvement.

Thank you all for your support, and if anyone else has suggestions, I am
definitely open to any!

Abby and the currently Sleepy puppy called Jada
