	I do likewise; plus, it teaches the public the real reason behind
correction; you don't have to be harsh, but so often, when we correct, we
are misunderstood, and then you  get a few folks who think guide dogs by
dint of their profession, just must be perfect.
	So, it is a good training opportunity for you, your dog and the
public.

Stephanie,
	This could be a training opportunity for not only your dog, but the
public, as well. I have sometimes asked those in the public to participate
in my training exercises when my dog has run me into them. Ask the person to
stay where they are, explaining that it is your dog's job to find a clear
path around them. You might even ask them to exaggerate their response to
impress upon the dog the importance of avoiding people. JMHO.

Hi all,
I am looking for advice. I plan on contacting my trainer tomorrow but
thought I'd run it past you all, and see if any one has had this issue.
Gypsy has started to run me in to people. It has happened quite a few times
now. Just this afternoon, I was walking in our local shopping centre. There
were 2 people talking, just standing there and Gypsy tried to walk in
between the 2 people, and in the process I hit one of them. Stan saw it
happen and said that Gypsy had heaps and heaps of room to go around them.
Anyway, is there anything I can do about this? I cant re work the situation
as the person already moved. If I correct her, would she know why I did it?
Just not sure what to do about it.
