And then there’s DC where there isn’t a right-angled intersection anywhere. Then again with all the politics that’s gone on there it’s a wonder anything is comprehensible. :)

I use a combination of Seeing Eye GPS, Transit Times Plus for public transit info and Google Maps which also gives turn by turn directions. Blind Square is good too if you need a less expensive option.

I still think for pure GPS the Trekker Breeze is awesome. Just wish they’d update the maps more often.

That is, the tall buildings will block the satellite signal, which could make your navigation results somewhat inaccurate. If you need turn by turn directions, Seeing Eye GP does really well with these. Last I checked, Blindsquare doesn’t do that so much. They’re both excellent though.

Usually I travel in the safety of the grid of Manhattan and limit my wanderings to the outside boroughs. Though in this day and age that is ridiculous not to mention I do travel out of state a lot. Which ones have people used. I am hearing some about blind square and the seeing eye app. Anybody tried both? What does each offer? I need more of a type in address get directions type deal than a quote find the nearest blah blah, end quote. And which works best with a dog or does it matter? Anyone use trekkor?
