[nagdu] Sore paw?

Thane will often get a real irritation around one pad or another from
various things. He used to always have it on all his feet after we'd go
places that used really bad chemical cleaners for floors. When we moved in
where we live now that was also the case.
I realize your situation seems to be different, but one thing vets
recommended for us with irritation is to use epsom salt soaks. I had to do
it the other day (dumb kids and their gum!) Though he doesn't like to stand
in a bucket of water, afterwards he feels so good. Its so simple and so
easy.
If your dogs foot does not improve in short order, I'd see a vet to be sure
it is OK. One time Thane had something in his and by the time it bothered
him, externally there was no obvious sign that something was in there.
In the meantime if your dog tolerates them, you might use boots for a few
days while out working to reduce the pressure on the foot.
Best wishes for a speedy recovery whatever the cause.
