[nagdu] TSE now breeding poodles

I've only ever seen one poodle as a guide from the MIRA school in Montreal.  How is their temperament?

Someone also asked me something the other day, and perhaps you guys will know... why are chocolate labs not bred as guide dogs?  Again, my exposure to this brred is very limited...

I'm no expert but I doubt they would do cross breeding at this time since it sounds like they want to use these dogs for people with extreme allergies. When you cross breed you don't know if you'll get more lab or more poodle which means you don't know which temperment  you'll get and what the shedding status will be. Also, i've heard that labordoodles and goldendoodles often are rather anxious which can express itself as dog aggression. Of course, if you've had a lab and get a poodle  it could be the poodleness that is very different. Bogart is a vocal dog and to my annoyance, often is quite barky, especially out of harness.

As a side note, i'm not positive this is the case but i know my school in canada has been sharing dogs with  TSE so maybe this breeding poodle  pair are related to Bogart. Smile.

Good news though. I always like to hear more poodles are available.
