And the lighter the dog, the more hair, right?  I can't convince a friend
that Roxy my lab/golden cross sheds more than my yellow lab, but his hair
shows more on dark car interiors; imagine!!!!  They are never here when I
groom the dogs, and I empty the container after brushing each one so if
there is excessive hair I'm not expecting, I'll know and Miss golden back
cross or lab back cross always comes out on top, but "seeing" isn't
believing.

Ambor, I identify with you. I have had this said to me, "you have dog hair
all over you" from my golden guides. I ask them to pick off the hair and it
is maybe two hairs. Sighted people are just drama queens and love to be in
control of us. So please don't believe sighted people especially if you have
taken normal care of your dogs. I have goldens so I use my noodle and have
no black or brown clothes, skirts, pants, I mean, of course.

Hi Tracy,
I understand that I will spend a lot of time brushing my dog. That is okay.
The fact that I am not getting covered in hair every time I brush up against
my dog is the most important part to me. I understand that they are a lot of
maintenance, and it is something I will have to get used to. But it is not
something that I will have a hard time with. I just like looking nice, and
when I wear a nice outfit, and it is immediately covered in hair, that gets
a little depressing for me, personally.

don't shed, but they're definitely not low-maintenance.  They need regular
brushing and regular haircuts to keep that beautiful fur from getting
matted, or the dog turning into a big woolly sheep.  I grew up with poodles,
and I remember it taking more than a few minutes to give them a good
brushing, even if I did it every couple days.  It wasn't the quick
brush-and-comb I give my lab that takes about 5 minutes.  Of course, with my
lab, I get enough fur for a new small dog every time I vacuum.
