Hi all,

Now that my own dog is finished with her training, and life in general has
calmed down a bit, I've decided to look into raising a puppy for an
organization, or perhaps another owner-trainer who would prefer to skip the
puppy phases.

I'm wondering if anyone on-list has done such a thing and how it worked with
your current guide dog? Also, I'd like to get an idea of which schools will
allow people to raise for them without being close to the organizational
headquarters. I live in Nebraska now, so no schools are really within
driving distance of me. Also, of course I'd like leads on programs that have
previously allowed someone who is blind to raise for them. I think this
could be a really fun experience that would allow me to grow as a trainer,
but would also provide support if I needed it. 
Besides, I like the feeling of doing some volunteer work that I love
already.

I hope nobody minds my cluttering the list with a question like this, but I
figure it can't hurt given the variety of experienced handlers/trainers
here.
