Jaxi, my guide of 6 weeks, has a significant anxiety issue which extends to
a dramatic separation anxiety.  When we visited our vet for the first time
he told me he had never seen a service dog of any kind as anxious as she is.
Since he treats the local service animals at no charge he sees a large
number of guide dogs and puppies in training.

That being said, Jaxi's anxiety issues are slowly improving.  I can now
leave the room for several minutes at a time without her whining or barking.
I have even been able to take out the trash and pull a weed or two without
her freaking out.  I have started reading Decoding your Dog in an effort to
get some more ideas on how to help her.  It's been fascinating reading and
sounds like a workable plan.  So I'm seriously considering buying the
Manners Minder recommended in the book to help introduce rewards in a
timelier manner.

I'm wondering if anyone has used the Manners Minder or a similar remote
controlled treat dispenser.  If you have, have you found it user friendly?
I have only limited light perception so I would prefer if it has a tactile
display.
