Hi Lisa,
Welcome to the list! Its so awesome that so many people from other countries are joining our list here. You have just a few weeks until you begin your training, I wish you luck. Do you plan on blogging or journaling during your training? I am sure that many users on this list would be very interested in hearing about your experiences and training there. Just an idea. 
I am Marsha, working my 3rd guide dog from Guide Dog Foundation. My pup is specially trained for guiding, as I am totally blind, for alerting, as I am profoundly hard of hearing, and balance work. We live in PA, with my wonderful husband of 5 years. I am a full time student at a university in Philadelphia. My pup is a black lab cross female. 
I am also the moderator of the list, so if you need anything please do not hesitate to email me off list.
