Hi Melissa, I sure understand wanting to be able to use your dog, 
but you would have to totally retrain him to work on the right.  
Not that it can't be done, but I'm guessing that by the time that 
happened you'd be back to being able to use him on the left.  So 
hang in there.  He'll get used to you not taking him, I'm sure,
